Professional Experiences

I have had the honor to serve in the educational field for the past 10 years in many different roles as a teacher and a leader.  I began my career as a Teacher’s Aide/Para-Professional at the Hawkswood School for multiply disabled children.  Following my position as a Teacher’s Aide, I student taught first grade at the Gregory School in Long Branch, NJ.  Prior to the culmination of my student teaching experience, I was offered a position as a full day Kindergarten Teacher in Spotswood, NJ.  After 6 successful years, I accepted a position in Brick Township School district as a full day Kindergarten Teacher to help implement their newly adopted full day program. I served as a Kindergarten Teacher in Brick Township for a year and a half before transitioning to Elementary Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for English Language Arts and Mathematics for 8 Elementary Schools in Brick Township.  In addition to the position of Elementary Supervisor, I was in charge of Brick Townships K-12 ESL/Bilingual Program.   Some of my other experiences in education include, middle school head wresting coach, head teacher for the before and aftercare programs and anti-bullying specialist in Spotswood.  I was the program coordinator for the federally funded extended day and extended school year programs in Brick Township and, an Instructor in Professional Development Academies.
